Feet support your daily activities.

For instance, the arch supports the body while moving. In fact, the arch height determines how your feet move.

The foot types can be varied according to different arch formation or toe formation.

The foot types according to arch formation can be categorised into three as

In particular, a neutral arch is known to be healthy, low arch makes the foot turn inwards extremely and high arch causes the foot turn inward slightly at impact. Sadly, having low or high arch leads to having long term injuries.

In addition, irregular feet shape could lead to having painful and long term conditions such as hammer toes, bunions, shin splints etc. So, if you get severe pain in the lower leg, consult a doctor to identify if it occurs due to your feet shape or other reasons.

Learn About Your Foot Type

To find the foot type, you can find it using the imprint of the foot on a soft surface.

If the majority of the foot is imprinted, it shows that the foot is flat.

On the other hand, if only the heel and ball of the foot is imprinted, this shows a high arch foot. Medically, doctors use “Harris Mat” to identify the Foot type.

Similar to the Arch foot types, you can also differentiate foot types using the toe formation.
